Obituary of Irene O'Donnell

Irene Lucille O?Donnell nee Gabuzda age 91 died peacefully on December 27th with children at her side at Underwood Memorial Hospital from complications after hip surgery. All who knew her loved her for her kindness and adorable and energetic curiosity. In those hearts her generous spirit will live on. She was born in Freeland PA, graduated from Drexel University, and lived in New Jersey, first in Jersey City and then Roselle to raise family and finally her favorite, Woodbury Heights. She leaves behind children, Donald and Sharon O?Donnell, Diane Levy and husband Lawrence, Nadine Pinkerton and husband Lance. Grandchildren Megan van Vliet and husband Miller, Matthew Henry, Gordon and Elliott Pinkerton and to her most recent delight, great grandson Jagger van Vliet. Wonderful sisters Martha Cooper, Bernice Clapper and Marion Denion with husband Don and many caring nieces and nephews survive. In addition her neighbors who were family like no other, the Breyers. Irene joins her husband Don and sons Neil and Bryon who hold her wings. Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Margaret?s Church, 3rd & Beech Avenues, Woodbury Heights, NJ Monday, January 2, 2006 at 10:30 AM, followed by a luncheon at Irene?s cherished home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Johnson Memorial Library, 670 Poplar Avenue, Deptford, NJ 08096 is a fitting tribute.
