Obituary of John J. Addicks

ADDICKS, John J. ?Jack? of Franklinville, NJ, passed away on April 2, 2007; Aged 84. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jack has lived in Franklinville for the past 20 years. Prior to retirement, Jack was employed as a tank wagon driver for Merit Oil in Delran, NJ and prior to that, Coastal Tank Lines. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving from 1942-1945. Jack served with General Patton throughout his time in the Army and was part of the 5 major invasions in Europe. He was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 1616 in Williamstown, NJ. In his spare time, Jack loved boating, cars and ballroom dancing. Ballroom dancing introduced him to the love of his life, Mitzi and they have danced ever since. Jack has also cruised around the world and enjoyed his many travels. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He told Mitzi everyday that she was the most beautiful woman he knew and always had a kind word for each of ?his girls.? Beloved husband of 53 years to Marie C. ?Mitzi? nee Wagner; loving father of Jacqueline and her husband, Jeff Davies, Kim and her husband, Ed Beaver and Carol and her husband Anthony Fracchiolla; loving grandfather of John Addicks and his wife, Kristen, Val Davies, Kelli and Mark Beaver, Ted and Scott Fracchiolla and his wife, Nicole and Dawn and her husband, Kevin Barber; great grandfather of 5. Viewing Saturday, 9:00- 10:30 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. Funeral Service Saturday, 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 150 E. 9th Avenue, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
