I watched Bill contribute to youth sports in Gibbstown for many years - this in turn had a great effect on Paulsboro High's teams, our Alma Mater. He loved to compete, but always stressed the hard work of practice, which ultimately leads to more wins than losses. We also shared the joy of our sons having great academic and athletic successes at PHS, especially being part of the state record football streak. Rest in peace, 'COACH'.

Dear Nevius Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I grew up in Paulsboro & knew Billy when we were pre teens....back when he was friends with Tommy Davis & those guys. He was always one of the nicest guys I've ever met.. He grew up & apparently stayed just as nice! I have nothing but fond memories of Billy. Again, so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Bonnie Zeno Magazu

Oh yes Bill loved baseball and played it well. Also if I’m not mistaken a basketball player as well. I was shocked young Bill when you told me. Shocked!
I didn’t realize he was fighting cancer.
He was very easy going and like by everyone that met him. Last time I saw him was in high school so long to,e ago until I saw you Facebook.
My condolences to all family members and wish his wife and the best. I know how hard it is but she has lots of family.
How I wish I could be back there for the visitation. I will be there in spirit ...
Love to all.

Billy and I attended Paulsboro High School together and I have fond memories of
his easy-going personality and love of sports. I also attended Gloucester County College with his future wife, Margaret Sacca. We had a few classes together and
I always enjoyed conversations with her. My heart goes out to Bill's family at this
sad time. God Bless You, Bill.
