Obituary of Jane Patricia Daly

Jane Patricia Daly of Blackwood, New Jersey, passed away on April 29th, 2024 at the age of 79.

Family

Born to the late William and Sarah (nee Tressel) Jones on June 25th, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA. Jane is the beloved sister of the late William Jones. Growing up, Jane attended St. Boniface Business School as the graduating class on 1961. After attending business school, Jane found herself in many different roles throughout her life, but the most rewarding role of all was becoming the mother of her three loving children, Laura (Bret) Mullins, Daniel Daly, and the late Edward Daly (2005). Jane flourished as a mom. It was as if being a mom was Jane's calling in life. She loved doting on her children any way she could, showing support to them, and making sure they knew how much she loved them. Laura and Dan remember fondly how much their mom loved the holidays, specifically Halloween. Jane loved to decorate her home with witches and cobwebs for the special day. There was something special about creating these fun memories with her family. While Jane had three human children, she also had her two furbabies Merlin and Spooky who could be found curled up closely to their mom. Jane's love for her family blossomed with the arrival of her grandchildren Miranda, McKenna, Madison, and Emily. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up into successful women. Jane made sure she attended every event that she could, whether it was Colorguard performance or a dance recital, Jane was there to support her family.

Legacy

Jane's compassionate personality extended into many different areas of her life. Jane was a part of Gloucester Township politics and was a committee woman in District 6. She invested herself in the local community and fought for what she believed was right. Throughout her career in local politics, she sat on many different boards, including her support for Rent Stabilization. She worked for Dr. Ken Sebastian, Podiatry, for 25 years. Later on Jane became a cowriter of a magazine called Metal Rock Publications under the persona of "JD" that spotlighted local band talent. Another one of Jane's ventures was establishing Top Ten Nail Salon with her daughter Laura that they owned together for ten years before closing.

Jane had many interests throughout her life, she loved to attend mass at Our Lady of Hope Parish, play bingo, and was an avid photographer. Jane took advantage of capturing the moment with her camera. If there was a family event, a social gathering, or supporting her grandchildren at their extracurricular activities, Jane was documenting it.

Jane is remembered fondly for her ability to love hard, her compassionate personality, and being your #1 cheerleader.
