Obituary of James H. Kennedy

James H. Kennedy, of Williamstown, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was 76.

 

Legacy

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Williamstown, Jim proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations Insignia, Bronze Star and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Following his service, Jim worked as a driver for UPS in Lawnside for more than 30 years until his retirement. Jim and is wife Eleanor shared more than 57 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren that embodied the love they shared.

 

Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Family

Jim is the beloved husband of 57 years to Eleanor (nee Scott); Loving father of Colleen Duca and the late James Kennedy; dear brother of John Kennedy; devoted grandfather of 4 and great grandfather of 2.

 

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's viewing on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Our Lady of Peace Parish at St. Mary's R. c. Church, Main Street & Carroll Avenue, Williamstown after 9:30 AM where his Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Gloucester County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown (Monroe Twp.), NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund by visiting www.vvmf.org
