Obituary of Thomas L. Stelmach

Thomas L. Stelmach of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, with his family by his bedside. He was 77 years old.

Legacy

Born in Camden, Tom was raised in Gloucester City and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his time in the Military, Tom returned home with his wife Donna and together shared 58 years of marriage. They raised three children who have nine grandchildren. Tom worked for many years in the Oil Refinery industry for Texaco and then ultimately Sunoco where he retired as an Instrumentation technician.

Tom will be remembered as a kind and generous man who maintained a very active lifestyle. Some of his favorite hobbies were helping others, working in his garden, cooking, and spending sunny summer days fishing. Most of all, Tom reveled in family gatherings. During July 4th barbecues he could be found manning the grill, serving burgers that he was famous for, and would close the gathering with a spectacular fireworks display. Tom will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family

He is the beloved husband of Donna (nee. Morris). Loving father of Lynn Maurer and her husband Al, Matthew Stelmach and his wife Amy, Megan Dolan and her husband Brian. Dear brother of John Stelmach and cherished grandfather of 9. Tom is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
