Michael R. Amato, Sr., 79. of Grenloch, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Legacy

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family with all of his heart and had a very straight forward way about him. No one could forget his infectious laugh or his unsolicited words of wisdom.

Family

He is the beloved husband of 58 wonderful years to Sally J. Amato (nee Ziegelhoffer). Devoted father of Michelle Freed (Bobby), Mike Amato, Jr. (Christine), and the late Jimmy Amato. Treasured grandfather of Devon, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Nicholas, Allyson, James Jr., and Gillian. Adored great grandfather of Devlin. Predeceased by his parents Benarldo Santoro and Angelina Amato. He will be greatly missed by family and friends more than words can say.
