Obituary of James Michael Sherman

James Michael Sherman, of the Oak Valley section of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. He was 69. Legacy Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jim and his family settled in South Jersey in 1981. He worked for many years for Fairlite Electrical in Atco until his retirement in 2017. Jim will be fondly remembered as a reserved man who was passionate about his family, especially his granddaughter, Emily; being involved with the Knights of Columbus at his parish of Infant Jesus in Woodbury Heights and cheering on his beloved Flyers through the great and not so great seasons. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family Jim is the beloved husband of the late Claire (nee Gilorma); loving father of Lisa Wilt and her husband Michael; cherished grandfather of Emily; dear brother of Edward and his wife Julie , Francis, Anthony and his wife Terry, Martin and his wife Anna & Timothy and his wife Debbie. Jim is also survived by his sister in law, DonnaMarie Murray and her husband William and brother in law, Vincent Gilorma and his wife Anita. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM in Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Third & Beech Avenues, Woodbury Hts. Interment New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
