Obituary of Ronald L. Cloutier

Ronald Lawrence Cloutier, Sr.

Ronald L. Cloutier, 76, passed away on June 20, 2023. He was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts on September 13, 1946, the son of Arthur Joseph and Eva Lillian (DeGray) Cloutier.

Ron graduated from Minnechaug High School, Class of 1966. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Air Force in Thailand as a Jet Mechanic during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked for Camden County prior to becoming a Boilermaker for Local #13 where he spent 41 years.

Ron was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1616 in Monroe Township, New Jersey, a member of DAV Chapter 19 and the American Legion Post #325 in Danville, Virginia. Ron also enjoyed fishing and riding the trails as often as he could with his neighbor, Justin Ellis.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Norman Cloutier (Jackie), his sisters Bernadette Szanderowski (Stanley) and Doris Brodecki (Henry) and his granddaughter, Julia Rose Gerle. Surviving are his daughter, Denise Gerle and her husband Jason of Washington Township and his son Ronald Cloutier, Jr. and his wife, Bonny of Chatham, six grandchildren, Ryan Reilly, Ashley Reilly, Ronald Cloutier, III, Anthony Cloutier, Eva Gerle and Joseph Gerle and his brother Lawrence Cloutier & wife Claire, of Wilbraham, MA.

Family & friends are invited to Ron's visitation on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ  08080.  Funeral Service will begin at the funeral home at 12 PM. Interment will follow at the Gloucester County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 240 Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
