Redean Turner, lovingly known as Dee Dee, wife and best friend to Anthony Turner, passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 61. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 9, 1962, to her parents Carolyn and Charles. Redean has three children, William, Latrell and Lateeya, two sisters named Deborah and Trell, and an older brother named Tyrone.

Redean was a woman of great intelligence and experience. She valued her family and embraced motherhood at an early age, giving birth to her first child, a son named William. As a dedicated mother, she always wanted the best for him. Fate led her to cross paths with the love of her life, Anthony Turner, who served in the United States Air Force. Anthony welcomed both Redean and William into his life. Redean also became a stepmother to her husband’s daughter Lois and later took in her nephew Jorge and they became an instant family. In the years that followed, Redean and Anthony were blessed with two daughters, Latrell and Lateeya. As her family grew Dee Dee always made sure to give her family the best life they could have, traveling and seeing the world together.

In search of something new and exciting, Redean and her family eventually moved to New Jersey, where she displayed ambition and a strong work ethic. Her determination allowed her to earn everything she ever wanted. Redean's joy came from spending time with her family, proudly raising her kids and helping to raise her grandchildren Victor and Vanessa as her own when her son became a single father.  Family game nights were always fun, she cherished playing card games like Poker and Pittie Pat. It was during these games that she and her sister had a joke of calling each other “Bubble Head" each time she pulled the number 8 card.

As the years went by, Redean embraced the title Grandmother. Seeing her children and grandchildren grow brought her immense joy. She loved the company of her friends and family, cherished moments driving her new cars and motorcycle, but she just loved life itself.

Whether it was relaxing on pristine beaches, trekking through beautiful islands, or strolling through ancient ruins, Redean embraced every opportunity to expand her horizons, when her son was enlisted in the Air Force, she would travel to Las Vegas to visit. When her Two daughters Latrell and Teeya were living in Phoenix, AZ, she would continuously make plans to visit multiple times a year. No matter how close or far her family were, she would always make sure she was there to see them.

She believed that travel had the power to broaden perspectives, foster understanding, and create lifelong connections. Redean “DeeDee” Turner will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, may her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find solace in the cherished memories they shared together with no bound. Her infectious spirit, love for her family, and zest for life will forever be remembered.
