Obituary of Janet D. Matlack

Janet D. Matlack, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was 70.

 

Legacy

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Janet was raised in Deptford & West Deptford and graduated from Deptford High School and Rutgers University in Camden. She worked as a Librarian for the State of New Jersey in Trenton for 42 years.

 

Away from work, Janet enjoyed exploring new places and making new friends through her travels. Throughout her life, she accumulated more than 330 days of cruising the seas of the world. Janet was fortunate to have visited every continent during her travels and had fond memories of all of those great trips. She was passionate about and deeply studied Early American History and how our nation was formed. Janet was an avid cook and enjoyed baking unique dishes for family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Family

Janet is the beloved sister of Terry Fazzio (Mark), Jeffrey (Danielle), Patrick (Patricia), Christopher (Rose) Matlack; dear aunt of Brett, Brittni, Lauren, Kevin, Meghan, Courtney & Jacob Matlack. great aunt to Harper Engle. Janet is pre deceased by her parents Edward & Margaret Matlack
