Obituary of Elke Bottcher

Elke Bottcher (nee Biermann), 82, of Turnersville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Legacy

Elke was born and raised in Germany. In 1953 Elke, along with her father, mother, and brother, moved to Weehawken, New Jersey. When she was older she became an accountant for the well known B. F. Saul Co. in Washington DC. She retired from there and moved back to New Jersey to be with family. Elke loved watching her cooking shows on TV, even with the sound off. She didn’t have any children of her own, but she had fur babies that she loved and spoiled! Family meant everything to Elke, but she enjoyed being by herself at home. Her final home was with her niece, Dawn (Gary), who cared for Elke, like Dawn promised her father that she would.

Beloved daughter to the late Karl and Johanna (nee Biermann); Dear sister to the late Peter Karl Bottcher Sr.; Loving aunt to Peter K. Jr. (Cindy), Dawn (Gary), Tanya (Steve), Kitten (Sean), Jason, Phyllis (Bobby) and Nancy; Loving great-aunt to Ashley (Mike), Alyssa (Cody), Kristina, Steven (Gina), Nikki, Peter, Anthony, Brianna, Alaura, Matt, Michayla, Lenny, Bobby, Stacey, Kyle, Zoey, and Nicholas; Dear sister-in-law to Kathy and Phyllis.

Farewell Ceremony

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, September 22nd from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.
