Obituary of Bruce D. Cowgill

Bruce D. Cowgill, 57, of Washington Township, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family

Legacy

Born in Gloucester City, NJ, Bruce was a resident of Washington Township for the past 22 years.  He was a longtime member of the Health and Welfare Teamsters Union and NJ Elks.  He was employed by J. Ambrogi Produce Company as a truck driver. 

A tender loving gentleman, Bruce was devoted to his family especially his grandchildren.  Nothing would bring a bigger smile than doting on his beloved Bunny and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a jokester at heart and loved to make others laugh.  He had a strong work ethic and knew just the way to ease tension in any situation.  Bruce was an avid Notre Dame, Eagles and Phillies fan and a semi-pro pool player and was second in the state.  He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Family

Beloved husband of 23 years to  Bunny Comitale-Cowgill; devoted stepfather of Kimberly A. (Jerry) Laramee, Tracey L. (David) Pinsky, Steven W Shaffer and Bryan Shaffer; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Madeline, Emma, Ben, Grady and Cooper; loving brother of Robert (Teresa) Cowgill; dear brother in law of Mary (Barry) Hatfield.  He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Raymond E. and Doris (nee Loveland) Cowgill and his siblings Ronnie, Ray, Jr., Phil and Ellie.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, August 30th, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080 where Words of Remembrance will be shared at 11:00 AM.
