Charles Blakeslee, Jr.

Obituary of Charles H Blakeslee, Jr.

Charles H. Blakeslee, Jr., 75 of Turnersville, NJ passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 with his family by his side. Whether you called him Chuck, Charlie, Chalie or Pops, he was loved by all. Chuck was raised in Clayton, NJ and a long-time resident of Turnersville, NJ. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Chuck retired as a Finance Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was employed for over 40 years.

Chuck loved many things, but none more than Nancy and his family. He was Amy, Matt and Dave’s biggest fan, cheering them on from the stands and sidelines, and reveling in Dave’s music even to the point of allowing his rock band to practice in his basement. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with his grandchildren. Many special memories were made with his loved ones at the Jersey Shore. Chuck was an avid fan of Philly sports, as well as an enthusiastic gardener. However, his real passion was music. He could spend hours listening to his favorite songs and playing along on the guitar.

Beloved Husband of 39 years to Nancy M. (nee Walls); devoted father of Amy E. (Andy) Lazovitz, Matthew C. (Samantha) Blakeslee and the late David J. Blakeslee; adoring grandfather of Michael, Sofia, Charlie, Victoria and the late Ryan; loving son of the late Charles H. Blakeslee, Sr. and Ruth A. Leake; dear brother of Shirley (the late Robert) Dobson, Doris (the late Raymond) Hoffman and James (Cynthia) Blakeslee. Chuck is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
