Obituary of Anne S. Dorsey

Anne S. Dorsey (nee Scott), 92, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 surrounded by her children.

Legacy

Born and raised in Swedesboro, NJ, Anne was a resident of Woodbury since 1952.  She was a graduate of Swedesboro High School and Temple University where she met her husband, Kenneth.  Together they shared 58 years of marriage and raised three children.  After graduating from college, Anne worked as a buyer for Wanamakers.  She spent many years working in the rectory of St. Patrick’s Church.  Finishing out her career, Anne worked as a bookkeeper for Heinz Hoefers Builders.  Anne enjoyed the Jersey shore,  painting porcelain bells, playing bridge, and volunteering for the Phillies Welcome Staff.  Anne was a kind and loving person, who enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Dorsey; loving mother of Kathy (Bill) Rieger, John Scott (Kathy) Dorsey and Karen (Jerry) Gladfelter; devoted grandmother of Jennifer, William (Katie), Thomas (Kristyn), Kelly, Michael (Rachel), Kristen (Mike), Amy (Brian), and great grandmother of Heide,  Lily,  Will, John, the late Vincent, TJ, Tanner, Trevor,  Elizabeth, Madeline, Landon, Camden, Keegan, Delaney; dear sister of the late John and Thomas Scott.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anne’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 12:00 pm in Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick’s RC Church, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ.  Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
