Obituary of William Knetz, Jr.

William H. Knetz Jr., Resident of Oak Valley in Wenonah, NJ Passed away May 3,2021 at home surrounded by his loving family, he was 93 years old..

Legacy

Born in Woodlynne, NJ on August 24,1927 and raised in Audubon, NJ.   Bill attended Audubon High School and proudly served in the Navy during WWII and the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a telephone installer for Bell Telephone and retired after 33 years from AT&T.  His passions included working on cars, gardening, traveling, taking road trips, going to the shore and the mountains and Bill could fix just about anything along the way.

Family

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 70 years, Ruth (Stride); loving father of Diane (Knetz) Riley, Craig Riley, Susan (Knetz) Zvolensky, John Zvolensky, William Knetz III, Alice (Stavarski) Knetz; cherished grandfather of Colin Riley, Connor Riley, Amanda Zvolensky, Robin Zvolensky and great grandfather of Eoin Riley and leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by parents William H Knetz Sr. and Margaret (Gallagher) Knetz and siblings Margaret (Knetz) Thompson, Emily (Knetz) Davis, Jean (Knetz) Busarello, and Thomas Knetz.

Farewell Tribute

Visitation will be held on May 15, 2021, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm  followed by internment at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
