Obituary of Lula A. Leeds

Lula A. Leeds (nee Rafferty), 90, of Gibbstown, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

Legacy

Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, Lula was a resident of Gibbstown since 1959. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Clare Parish at St. Michael's RC Church.  In her younger years, Lula was an employee of Whitman Chocolates

A loving and caring lady, Lula was devoted to her family.  In her eyes, there was nothing more important.  Lula was full of energy and loved life.  As a family, they enjoyed vacationing and boating in Wildwood.  Lula was a talented baker and enjoyed making personalized birthday cakes for her loved ones.  She was her grandchildren's biggest fan and never missed a sporting event.  Speaking of sporting events, Lula was a huge LA Dodgers fan in a Philadelphia Phillies home.  Lula had the ability to see the silver lining in any situation. Lula loved her Cadillacs and owned 5 or 6 during her life and cherished her pugs including Tug, numerous ET's, Doodles, Mugsy, Ching Lee, Princess and lastly, Dodger.

Family

Beloved wife of the late John T. Leeds; loving mother of Scott (Andrea), Randy (Kathleen) and the late Jack Leeds; loving mother in law of Linda Leeds;  devoted grandmother of Erica, Natalie, Scott, Jr., Samantha, Sean, Aubre, Kimberly, Tatum and great grandmother of Elena, Aaron, Kacey, Damon, Katelyn, Ashlyn, Joseph, Declan, Adelyn, Emilia, Landon, Aiden and Patrick; dear sister of the late Cass, Clara, Floss (Flugy) and Joe.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lula's viewing on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, 9:30 - 11:00 AM, at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ  08096 and the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM.   Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
