Obituary of Eleanor L. Riviello

ELEANOR “ELLIE” L. RIVIELLO (nee Subers), aged 74 of Pennsauken, passed away on February 13, 2021 with family by her side at Jefferson Hospital, Cherry Hill.

Legacy

Ellie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, Merchantville, NJ.  Strong in her faith, she loved the Blessed Mother and would pray the Rosary daily after watching the Mass on EWTN.  Selfless in her thoughts and actions, Ellie prioritized helping family and friends in need.  In her heart, she forever held a special place in caring for others, loving her family and friends and always remembering everyone’s birthday, anniversary and special events.  When not hosting at her home, Ellie always arrived at events with her legendary cookies and other home made food and desserts.  Adoring animals from childhood, she loved her pets, her family’s pets and even neighborhood strays.  Ellie had a warm, caring and humorous personality that captured the attention and fondness of those around her.  She was loved by everyone.  Ellie will be tremendously missed, always loved and her legacy will live on.

Ellie is the beloved wife of 51 years to Mario; loving mother of Michael (Marisa), Matthew (Gina) Riviello and Renee (Timothy) Nuss; adoring Elliemom to Gianna & Adriana and Nanny to Christian, Nicolas, Liana and Sofia; cherished sister of Lydia (Dennis)Bianchini; devoted daughter of the late Francis and Eleanor Subers.  

Farewell Ceremony

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the SCHETTER FUNERAL HOME, 304 W. Route 70, Cherry Hill 8:30 to 10:00AM.  Her funeral mass will follow at St. Peter R.C. Church, 43 W. Maple Ave., Merchantville, NJ at 11am.  Entombment Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Cherry Hill.  Due to current health crisis capacity social distancing and mask requirements will be in place for the viewing and funeral.  Arrangements are under the direction of McGUINNES FUNERAL HOME, Woodbury & Washington Twp.
