Obituary of Therese A. Marley

Therese A Marley, of Westville, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was 93.

Legacy

As a child, Therese had a vocation to God through religious service. She attended St. Mary's Grammar School, Gloucester City and was a graduate of Camden Catholic, High School, Class of 1946. Later she continued her education, attending St. Joseph's University, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Education. Therese was employed at R.C.A. Service Company in Cherry Hill, NJ. She rose to the top of her field and was a pioneer in the Space Industry, being the first woman Wage and Salary Analyst. She was a poet and prolific writer in matters of religion and spirituality. After retirement, she spent many years educating special needs students for South Jersey School Systems. Therese remained very active in St Anne/ St. Joachim's Parish, where she made many friends. She was a lifelong member and leader in the Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Discalsed.

For leisure, Therese enjoyed traveling the world. Among her favorite places to see were Belgium, Austria, Quebec, Ireland and Spain.             

Family

Therese had many  nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly; Patricia Greer, Mary Kathleen Greer Quirk, Robert Greer, Frank Marley, Annamarie Marley, John Marley (Terri), Thomas Marley (Vicki), Mary Elizabeth Marley, James Marley, Jr., (Nancy), John Marley, (Donna), Timothy Marley, Joan Catherine Marley, Mary Ellen Marley ,Catherine Patricia Marley and Judy (Al) Michaud; cherished great nieces and nephews; William, (Suzanne), Cameron, Jennifer, (Ryan), Gavin, Landon, Hayden, Sarah, Douglas, Eric, (Pla), Robert, Andrew, Amy, Kevin, Brian, Connor, Kaitlyn, Erin, Robin, Sydney, Timothy, Lee Ann, Sarah, Rachel, (Adam), Graham, Savannah, Rebecca, Giana, Dallas, Dennis, (Kim), Brooke, Kimberly, Debbie, Liza, Katie, (Dylan), Dylan, Liam, Samantha, (Will), Rita Marie, Marley, Marcy, Molly, Sophia, Terri, Buddy, Scott and Stacey, Therese, Anne, Margaret,, Mary Therese, Francis, Carol, Mary Jane,(William), Kevin, Irene, Robert, Jessica, Payton, Peggy, Lauren, Amy, Nicole, Krystyn, Jayson, Janette, Ashley, Chris, Terri, Buddy, Scott and Stacey. 

She was related in Christ with members of The Third Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Therese is also survived by many extended family and friends near and far.

Therese was predeceased by her parents, Frank P. and Mary (Wylie) Marley; siblings, Rita Marley Greer, Frank Marley (Anna Mae), John Marley, James Marley (Joan), Mary Marley and Joseph Marley.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Parish Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr, NJ 08031.

Interment will follow at 12:45PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19150
