To the Giordano Family,
Having just heard of Steve's death, I am stunned and saddened. We helped each other through difficult times at Rutgers with laughter and food. I will always carry with me his infectious laugh and sense of humor, and cherish the conversations we had. He was truly one of the best men I have known. My thoughts are with his children and hope they may grow to be beautiful girls with his dimples and joy.
I will be in touch.

A Heartfelt Prayer for the entire family, by Helen Steiner Rice:
When one Must Leave You for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for Steven's sake and in his name, Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and he in turn will comfort you and hold you near, and never, never, be afraid to die, For Steven is waiting for you in the sky!
My condolences to all as Steven is laid to rest and continue prayers for strength, guidance, wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God's Purpose for our life, here on earth and in Heaven.....GOD BLESS

I have heard you speak so proudly of him over the years and the kind of man, husband and father that he had become. You have Steven's 2 beautiful children in which he will live forever. You have precious memories of your working relationship, your father-son relationship, your best friend. These are the memories and stories of Steven as a young boy and man that you will tell over and over to his children, Ashley and Alyssa. Through these stories he will live forever. Dear Dave and family,
I offer you my most heartfelt condolences at this very sad time in your life. My immediate thoughts were of you as parents and my fond memories of your stories about your children and the real care you both gave them. You were active in their life in a very positive way and they were the center of your world. The big decisions in your life always factored them in and you found the time to be with him--even if it was sharing time together on a business trip. You were a role model and advisor to me on several occasions as we talked about our children. Steven was very blessed to have the gift of parents and family like you are--this should provide you much comfort. I will keep you and his wife and children in my prayers. I hope that this Easter message of resurection will provide some peace to all who are left to deal with this significant loss.

You have my deepest condolences.
Steve and I were friends growing up in Blackwood, NJ for practically our entire childhood and we went to elementary school together. During that time, the neighborhood where we grew up was very tight knit at least for the kids. Our circle of friends only really numbered 5 or 6. My prominant memories of Steve include goofing off in CCD, bike riding, sledding and summer day camp as well as after school pickup basketball on my parents driveway and touch football on the Giordano's side yard. Space limits me from touching upon even a small portion of all of the memories.
My family moved when we both were 12 and I hadn't seen Steve in years since '85, when we were still both in HS.
My memories of Steve seem to have common elements with those mentioned by friends and co-workers who knew him more recently, however: that of a decent, fundamentally nice guy with a great sense of humor and sense of fun. A good and worthwhile friend.
I was shocked and greatly saddened when I had heard of his passing from his mom to mine. My thoughts are with Steve's family.

Dear Tracey And The Rest Of The Giordano Family:
Although I never had the opportunity to meet You, I know that You must be wonderful people, because Steve was a fine person.
As Mark Twain said, "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place." I will always remember Steve's sense of humor and his sunny spirit.
God bless You and deepest condolences on the loss of a fantastic person, who will make heaven a better place!
Take care,
John

We are very sorry for your loss of Steve. Steve had a great and funny sense of humor along with a great personality. He always talked about both you and the girls. I will miss Steve, we had fun in work, out of work, and on the golf course. We will all miss the way he would make his little comments that would just make you crack us up in the middle of a meeting. Dear Tracey, Ashley and Alyssa,
Steve was an absolute joy to work with. He always had a smile on his face and he had such a gentle demeanor. Since my own words can not express what I feel, I will use the words of Linda E. Knight:
Hold fast to your memories,
to all of the cherished moments of the past,
to the blessings and the laughter,
the joys and the celebrations,
the sorrow and the tears.
They all add up to a treasure
of fond yesterdays
that you shared and spent together,
and they keep the one you loved
close to you in spirit and thought.
The special moments
and memories in your life
will never change.
They will always be in your heart,
today and forevermore.
My deepest sympathy,
Maria Stamatiades-Mikros
