Obituary of Gary A. Brockway

Brockway, Gary A. Sr. Of Clarksboro, on May 2, 2003. Age 68 years. Born in western Pennsylvania, Mr. Brockway grew up in West Deptford and graduated from Paulsboro High School Class of 1953. He was a longtime resident of West Deptford Twp. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1953 to 1957. Mr. Brockway worked for the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 32 years until his retirement in 1990. Following retirement, he worked at the West Deptford High School. Mr. Brockway was a member of American Legion Post 100 in Woodbury. In his spare time, Mr. Brockway enjoyed many years as a coach for the many Wrestling, Baseball and Football teams in West Deptford and was an avid Golfer. Survived by his loving Wife of 48 years, Margaret nee Brennan. Devoted father of Cheryl Ken Fairchild, Kathleen Joe Layton, Gary A. Lisa Brockway, Jr., Kevin W. Ginny Brockway, Gail Troy Spence and Christine Mike Sagaria. Grandfather of Kim, Mike, Joe, Adam, Chris, Gary III, Rachael, Stephanie, Julie, Kevin, Jr., Samantha, Chuck and Amy. Brother of Elva Dougherty and the late Irvine Brockway. Also survived by many sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday evening 6 to 8:30 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury. Memorial Service 8:30 PM Interment private at the convenience of the family.
