Obituary of Charles Gordon Lamoree

Charles Gordon Lamoree, Jr. 51 of Sicklerville, NJ went home to the Lord on July 31, 2003 at Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 20, 1952, the son of Charles Gordon Lamoree Sr and Geraldine Roth. Charlie attended Hyde Park Schools, graduating from F.D. Roosevelt High School in 1970. He participated in numerous sport programs and wasa member of the 1968 Junior 8 National Champion Crew Team. Charlie was an avid bowler and mountain biker, particularly the trails in the Lake Minnewaska State Park, New Paitz. Charlie was partner and vice president of operations for Integrity Assembly. After many years of making it through life solo, Charlie was fortunate enough to find his soul make and eternal happiness with Laura. their relationship developed quickly and Charlie introduced Laura to this favorite hobby of biking by taking her on a 13 mile bike ride, on May 9, 1999 for their first date. Four months later they entered into marriage on September 18, 1999. Charlie became an active member of The Waters Community Worship Center under the loving leadership of Pastor Dan and Kathy Fessler. Charlie possessed a servant's heart and demonstrated his gift through the cafe' ministry and holiness team. He will be deeply missed by his church family. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his mother Geraldine Roth of Poughkeepsie, and his father and stepmother, Charles Gordon and Valerie Lamoree of Pleasant Valley, NY. As the Eldest Child, Charlie always took the lead for the rest of his siblings. He was always there for advice, inspiration, and leadership, always level headed, he was easy to talk to and a pal. But above all, with every event or occasion, Charlie was always there. He will be deeply missed by all his siblings, who include Irene Bidmead and her husband Eric of PA, Michael and his wife Cathy of NY, James and his companion Meaghan of NY, Margaret Kirk of FL, Richard and wife Joleen of AZ, his mother-in-law Lethea Bowen of Franklinville, NJ foster son Terrance Scott and grand-daughter Camille of Woodbury, NJ. Charlie is survived by a host of relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd at 1PM at The Waters Community Worship Center, Hurffville, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Charlie's honor may be sent to the Golden Gate Childcare Development Center, 253 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 or Lymphoma Research Foundation, 8800 Venice Blvd. Ste 207, Los angeles, CA 90034. There will also be a memorial service in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, August 9th.
