Obituary of Henry Hank D. Amos

Amos, Henry D. Jr. Hank of the Oak Valley Section of Deptford on August 27, 2003 aged 74 years. Born in Clementon, N.J. Hank joined the United States Marine Corps .at 17 in Philadelphia, Pa. He became a Sergeant at the Naval Air Station in Morocco before joining the 21st replacement draft for Korea in June of 1952, he then joined the Flame Platoon Techanic?s until 1953. In 1968 he did a tour in Vietnam where he became the Commanding Officer of his Company. He spent 30 years in the Marine Corps retiring as a Captain. Hank then became a teacher of the handicapped Retiring in 1995 from the lower Camden County School District .Hank was a Life Member of the Marine Corps Leaque , the Fleet Reserve #57, American Legion Post 1000 , V.F.W. Post 14000 , the Marine Corps Mustangs & Tanker Association . And New Voice. He enjoyed softball & baseball, he was the #1 fan of the Hollywood Diner Softball team. He was also involved with the Oak Valley Athletic Assoc. and a Boy Scout & Cub Scout Leader. Husband of the late Peggy nee? Dagney. Father of Henry III, Robert F. Thomas , Michael, & Margaret Amos. Father in law of Debbie , Barbara & Dawn Amos. Brother of Robert Amos. Grandfather of Devon Infanti , Robert Amos Jr. , Erica Amos , Alycia Mack , Dennison Amos , Alan Weissman , Kendell Amos , Kira Amos.
