Campbell, William J. of Mantua, on October 25, 2003. Age 86 years. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bill resided in the city until 1983 when he moved to South Jersey. He worked for more than 50 years with McIlvain Lumber Co. as a Lumber Inspector. Bill served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, where he received the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Ribbon and the American Defense Ribbon. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time at the shore with his family. He wil be remembered as a gentle, kind hearted man who loved his family very much. He is survived by beloved wife of 62 years Josephine nee McCartney. Devoted father of Bill and his wife Rose. Loving grandfather of Nikki, Chris and his wife Kathy Campbell. Dear great grandfather of Sean & Ryan Campbell. Loving brother of Jack Campbell. Brother in law of Frank McCartney.
