Obituary of Marion J. Andrews

ANDREWS - Marion J. nee Lewis of Washington Twp., NJ on Dec. 30, 2003. Aged 89 years. Marion was born in Old Forge, PA. She was a resident of Pennsauken, NJ for 46 years before moving to the Cardinal Retirement Community in Washington Twp.in May of 2000. Marion attended Columbia University, and a was a graduate of New York University and Kings County School of Nursing. Marion served as a WAC during WWII as a nurse in field hospitals in France after the invasion of Normandy. ?Andy? served as the director of the operating room at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center, Camden, from 1964-1981. After retiring, Marion served on the Board of Directors of Cooper as well as the Helene Fuld School of Nursing from 1981-1990. In her spare time Marion enjoyed spending time with her family. She is the beloved wife of 58 years to the late John T., devoted mother of Harriet Andrews Hart of Limerick, PA, John D. Andrews & his wife Claire L., loving grandmother of David W. & Christopher J. Andrews of Washington Twp., dear sister of William M. Lewis and Harriet M. Abrams & her husband Donald. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
