Obituary of Col. David Harrison Johnson

Johnson, Col. David Harrison, of Haddonfield, NJ on February 26, 2004. Age 84 years. Born and raised in Bridgeport, West Virginia, Col. Johnson later moved to Pittsburgh, PA before enlisting in the United States Army. He served for more than 29 years and saw action in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Col. Johnson was present at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 when the attack occurred and at Normandy on D-Day June 6, 1944. Of all of his medals and ribbons awarded, he was most proud of receiving the Bronze Star during the Korean Conflict and the Army Commendation Medal that he received for meritorious service while stationed at the Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia, PA. After retirement, Col. Johnson devoted his time to his hobby of woodworking and carpentry. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. He will be remembered as a loyal and dependable man who loved his family very much. Beloved husband of the late Mary nee Kane Johnson. Loving father of Alline Bridget Johnson, Patricia Thomas Keiser, Frances Stephen Crum and the late David H. Johnson, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Kris Young, Erin and Jennifer O?Rourke, Thomas and Lauren Keiser and Zoe Crum.
