Obituary of LeRoy G. Meader

Meader, LeRoy G., of Williamstown, NJ on March 22, 2004. Aged 83 years. LeRoy was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden where he was active in various sport teams. He was a proud US Airforce Vet of WWII, where he obtained the rank of 2nd Lt.. Prior to retirement in 1972, LeRoy worked for the US Naval Shipyard, Phila., PA for 30 years; starting as an aircraft mechanic and retiring as a supervisor production controller. LeRoy was a man devoted to God and his Faith. He was a dedicated member of Berlin Baptist Church and previously to Grace Baptist, Camden; Central Baptist, Woodbury; and Calvary Baptist, Pitman, where he served as deacon, usher, trustee, youth director and sound engineer. He was a member, and served as an officer till 1994 for the Glassboro Christian Businessmen's Committee. A silent benefactor, LeRoy supported many children supporting missions throughout the world. In LeRoy's spare time you could find him working around the house, working on cars and spending time at the Sandy Cove Christian Retreat in MD. LeRoy was predeceased by his loving wife Lorraine nee Parker, with whom he served as a loving and tireless caregiver. He is the loving father of Carol Lee Stock and the late Sharon Lorraine & Robert Wayne, loving grandfather of Diana Lee, Joanna Lee & Holly Rayanne and great grandfather of Heather Rayanne & Morgan Elizabeth. A tribute & memorial service will be held Thurs. 1 PM in the Berlin Baptist Church, 90 E. Broad St., Berlin, NJ where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment & military honors Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berlin Baptist Church, 90 E.
