Obituary of Joseph F. Poole

POOLE, Joseph F. went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 25, 2004. Born Dec 5, 1921. He graduated from Woodbury High School in 1941. Mr. Poole worked as a butcher for the A&P for 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army & Air Corps in the Pacific. He was a founding member of the Meatcutters Union now UFCW Local 56 and also a steward for 50 years. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Company and served as their President for over 11 years. After he retired he volunteered for Meals on Wheels until he became ill. He was a member of the Woodbury High School Alumni Association. He is survived by his Beloved wife, Claire nee Charlton; his sister Bee; his children Joseph Michael Poole Diana, James D. Poole, Frank Clayton, Elizabeth, Valerie Dzindzio Mark; Russell Clayton Theresa: Robert Clayton Elizabeth, Maureen Dominick Leo. His grandchildren: Matthew and Angela Poole, Andrew and Sarah Poole, Mark , Paul, & Christine Dzindzio, Stephen and Alexander Clayton; Anna, Sarah, and Regina Clayton and Tanya Barie and Rhiannon McDonald and her daughter Peyton.
