Obituary of Henry J. Freund

FREUND, Henry J. of South Seaville, formerly of Glassboro, on April 28, 2004. Aged 78 years. Mr. Freund was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II. From 1959 to 1965, Mr. Freund and his wife operated the Sunny Hunny Restaurant in Glassboro. During the 1970?s, he was a milkman for Haines Dairy in Hurffville. Mr. Freund was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Glassboro for many years. He was also very involved in the activities with Boy Scout Troop # 289 of Glassboro, in addition to serving as committee chairman. For most of his life, Mr. Freund was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners Local #1578 in Gloucester City. Using his carpentry skills, Mr. Freund built his own home in Glassboro, as well as his first boat. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, wood carving and spending time with his family. Beloved husband for 53 years of Ruth Nee Holubasch. Devoted father of Jeffrey, Steven, Douglas and Tracey Giordano Nee Freund. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Allison, Amanda, Ashley and Alyssa. Dear brother of Blanche Hoefers and the late Phillip, Charles and James Freund. Viewing MON. 1 to 3 PM in the McGUINNESS WASHINGTON TWP. FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Sewell.
