Obituary of Charles A. Apriletti

Charles Anthony Apriletti of Woodbury went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 20, 2004 at Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees. Charles is the Beloved Husband of Delores nee-Capaldi Apriletti also of Woodbury. Charles was born to the late Amedeo and Mary Apriletti in Bartow, Florida and was raised there on his parent?s orange grove. He served in the Army for several years before receiving an engineering degree from the University of Florida. He moved to New Jersey in 1960 where he met Delores , the love of his life , married , and had three daughters. He worked as an electrical design engineer for RCA in Camden and then worked for the Philadelphia Naval Base for 26 years before retiring . He was a faithful parishioner of St. Margaret's Church in Woodbury Hts. for 41 years and served the parish in many ways. He was a lector and Eucharistic Minister who made monthly trips to the hospital to administer communion to the sick. He also was a past president and member of St. Margaret?s Men?s Club and an active member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society that helps needy families. He was a faithful member of the Men of Malvern for over 40 years. Charles also had many hobbies . He bowled and played bridge with friends and enjoyed many Philadelphia Eagles games. He could often be found fixing someone?s car or lawnmower , working on roofs or cutting down trees. In the spring and summer he was always in his garden or working in his yard. Survivors include his Beloved Wife Delores, his daughter Dianne Almond and her husband Paul , his daughter Denise Epting and her husband Charles , his daughter Karen Schonewise and her husband Mark , and his loving granddaughters Rebecca Almond and Julia Epting. Also surviving are his brother John Apriletti of Miami Springs, Florida, his sister Marion Richie of Lake Alfred , Florida , and her husband Leo , his brother ?in-law Dominick Capaldi , three nieces , one nephew , two great nieces and one great nephew. Viewing Tuesday eve 6:30 to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter Street Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:00 A.M. in Saint Margaret?s R.C.
