Obituary of Paul A. Tesauro

Paul A. Tesauro, 86, of Int'l Falls, MN, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at the Silver Bay Veteran's Care Center, Silver Bay, MN. He was born on September 5, 1917 at Tyler, PA. He moved to Philadelphia at the age of eight and later moved to South Jersey in 1958, Fort Richey, Florida in 1980, Woodbury, New Jersey in 1983 and to Ocala, Florida in 1990. He then finally moved to Int'l Falls in 2003. Paul served in the US Army in the 4th Infantry 22nd Division in the landing of Normandy on D-Day; he was wounded in France and Germany and received the Purple Heart. He married the former Mary Regina Johnson on May 11, 1946, at St. Monica's Church in Philadelphia. Paul was a maintenance worker for Gulf Oil Co. for 30 years retiring in 1980. Paul was an avid sports fan and was active in the Disabled American Veterans Association. He also enjoyed traveling and visiting with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael A. and Mary Antonia Cappazolla Tesauro, brothers, Charlie, Joe, Tony, sisters Carrie, Mary, Nellie, Rose, Sue and two infant brothers. He is survived by his wife; Mary, niece; Sally Doug Hallquist of Int'l Falls and great nieces and nephews; Pat Larson, Johanna Silvers, Doug Hallquist and Dale Hallquist. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Green-Larsen Mortuary, International Falls, MN. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, at Faith United Church of Christ. Chapel committal Monday 12:30 PM in the Brigadier General William C.
