Obituary of Howard H. Welzel

Welzel, Howard H., Jr. of Sicklerville on July 27, 2004. Age 81 years. Born in Williamsport, PA, Howard later moved to Haddon Heights, NJ where he resided for more than 58 years until relocating to Sicklerville nearly 18 years ago. He served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II, where he received the World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After the service, he returned home to work as a Jeweler with his family business, Howard Jewelers of Woodbury for more than 60 years. In his spare time he enjoyed model cars, model airplanes, and gardening. Howard enjoyed membership with the Florence Lodge F & AM # 87, Woodbury, where he was Master in 1953. He also was a member of the Army Air Corp 355 Fighter Group. His greatest joy in life certainly is his family and friendships made throughout his life. Those who loved him will dearly miss him. Beloved husband for 59 years to Elsie nee Racher, Loving father of Mark H. Welzel and Denise L. Daniele. Grandfather of Jamie and Angelica. Visitation Sunday evening 6 to 6:45 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Rd. Washington Twp. Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM.
