Obituary of Thomas Taemin Shin

SHIN-Thomas Taemin, An accomplished journalist-of Washington Twp., NJ on Aug. 3, 2004 at the age of 81. Mr. Shin was best known as the host of a popular1960?s TV program, ?Good Morning? and several educational/entertainment radio shows in Korea. He was also the VP and journalist of a renowned Korean newspaper. Among many accomplishments, he was a music conductor at the Korean Cathedral, a stage actor, a political activist and consummate humanitarian. Mr. Shin immigrated to the U.S. in 1973, settling in Philadelphia where he founded the First Korean American newspaper, The Korean Guardian. In 1984 he was presented with the Human Rights award by then mayor, Wilson Goode for his contributions to the Korean community. Even after retirement, he continued writing a syndicated column for various newspapers and authored 10 books and numerous essays. He is the beloved husband of Albina Amin, devoted father of Thaddaeus, Alexander, Leo, Elizabeth, Gregory, Theodore & Nani, dear brother of Anna Moon, Theresa Chang & Grace Park, loving grandfather of 12.
