GALE?Timothy M. of Swedesboro, formerly a 47 year resident of Woodbury, died suddenly on August 28, 2004. Aged 50 years. He is the loving husband of Margaret E. ?Peggy? nee Horan, devoted father of Stephanie and Matthew, devoted son of the late Helen V. and Neil W. Gale, dear brother of John W. & his wife Barbara, Bernadette Landis & her husband Michael E., Neil W., Jr & his wife Patricia, David & his wife Barbara, Michael & his wife Cynthia, beloved uncle of Adrienne & Jackie Gale, Patrick & Jeremy Landis, Roni, Becky & Samantha Gale, D.J. and Julia Gale. Tim graduated from Woodbury High School in 1972, where he starred in football & baseball. He married his childhood sweetheart, Peggy on March 25, 1977. Tim, his brother David and Bruce Connell revitalized the Woodbury Steelers Midget Football program from 1973 to 1985, during which time the Steelers won multiple conference titles. Many talented players benefited from the superb coaching provided in the Steelers program. Tim was also involved in Woodbury youth baseball and basketball programs, although football retained first place in Tim?s heart. Tim was also well known in the area for his outstanding ability to coach girl?s softball. The Woodbury Hornet Softball Team that he coached twice, won the NJ state championship and went to the Nationals in Texas. Because of his leadership, his extraordinary ability to educate and inspire young athletes and his dedication to the community, Tim was named Man Of The Year in 1993 by the Woodbury Jaycees. Tim was employed with DuPont and most recently, Rhodia Pharmaceuticals. Funeral service Sat. 10 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury where friends may call Fri. 6:30-9PM and Sat. 9-10 AM. Interment Eglington Cem., Clarksboro, NJ.
