Obituary of Francis J. McDowell

McDowell, Sr., Francis J., ?Mickey? of Thorofare, NJ on November 3, 2004. Aged 80 years. Mickey was a U.S. Navy Veteran in WWII where he earned five Battle Stars on USS New Jersey. For over 35 years, he worked as a truck driver for Exxon Corp. He was the past president of Penn Exxon Employees Assoc. and past president of the South Jersey Umpires Assoc. He was a member of the American Legion Post #133 of Woodbury, VFW Post #5579 of Gibbstown and ICAC of Fairview. He was also a member of the Verga Fire Company, Camden County VFW Bowling League, West Deptford Senior Citizens Club and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #548. He was also a Hall Monitor for 3 years at the West Deptford High School. Devoted husband of Roberta Nee Taylor. Beloved father of JoAnne Michael Keegan, Susan, Terry, Michael & Francis, Jr. Loving grandfather of 15 & great grandfather of 8.
