Obituary of Orlando E. Giordano

GIORDANO? Orlando of Lakebridge, Deptford, NJ formerly of S. Phila, on Dec. 9, 2004. Aged 87 years. Mr. Giordano was born, raised and was a long time resident of So. Philadelphia. During WWII, he was employed with the US Naval Shipyard as a machinist, where he helped to build battleships & submarines. Prior to retirement in 1976, Mr. Giordano worked for Penn Fruit as a meat cutter for 30 years, and also served as shop steward for the Teamsters. In his spare time he enjoyed crossword puzzles, walks in National Park and gardening. He is the beloved husband of Marion R. nee Rodia, devoted father of Philip Barbara and the late Maria Iannelli, dear brother of Viola Zebrowski & Anna Gallagher, Ph.D., loving grandfather of Lisa Joe Polk, Christina Kevin Gorman, Janice and Philip O. and great grandfather of Anthony, Kathryn, Brian, Nicholas, Rebecca & Kevin. Funeral Mass Mon. 11 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 17 Earlington Ave., Mullica Hill, NJ where relatives & friends may call from 9-10:45 AM. Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Yeadon, PA will be private.
