Obituary of Irene Drueke

Irene Drueke nee Wilcox, 78, of Southampton died Monday February 14, 2005 in the Medford Care Center. Beloved wife of William Drueke and the late Ellsworth ?Al? Leavitt. Devoted mother of Donna DiMartino David. Grandmother of Lynn Shugars Ken and Greg Jacob Amanda. Greatgrandmother of Kenny, Emily and Eric. Sister of Shirley Hall Larry and Dorothy Calvert. Dear sister-in-law of the late Shelvy Calvert. Irene was born in St. Louis, MO. During World War II, Irene moved to Washington, DC to work as a secretary in the war effort. After the war concluded, she returned to St. Louis. She worked for Wagner Electric and McDonnell-Douglas Aviation. Recently, she moved to New Jersey to be close to her family. Irene enjoyed camping, Bridge and she was a wonderful seamstress. She will be forever remembered as a caring woman who loved her family deeply. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday February 27th in the Calvary Lutheran Church Rte 70 at Eayrestown & Branin Rds. Medford, NJ 08055. Burial took place in St. Charles Memorial Gardens St. Charles, MO. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the church. Funeral arrangements by McGuinness Funeral Home of Woodbury.
