Obituary of Martin W. Coyle

Coyle, Martin W., of Washington Twp, formerly of Brooklawn died Monday, February 22, 2005. Beloved husband of 51 yrs. to the late Ruth T. Coyle Martin is survived by his son, William M. Coyle and daughter in law, Joanne Jones Coyle. Grandfather of Donna M. Scott and Matthew D. Scott. Great-Grandfather to Megan R. Scott. Martin was born in Gloucester City and attended Gloucester Catholic H.S.He was a WWII Veteran in the US Navy serving in the Pacific Theatre. Martin worked for General Electric Service Center in Phila., PA for 40 yrs. where he was an Industrial Transformer Technician. Martin lived in Brooklawn from 1950-60 and was president of Brooklawn Volunteer Fire Co. He was a Cub Scout master for 8 yrs. and a member of Kiwanis. The family resided in Westville from 1960 ? 1995. He was a member of Westville Volunteer Fire Co. For the past 55 years, he spent his summers at Lake Garrison where he also served on the Board of Directors. He was an avid golfer, traveling, spending winters in St. Petersburg, FL. For the last 5 years he was an active member of the Cardinal Village community. In the winter, Martin was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church and during the summer months was a member of St. Ann?s Church. He loved people! A viewing will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005 10 AM at St. Peter & Paul Church. Mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment New St. Mary, Bellmawr.
