Obituary of LeRoy D. Clark

CLARK, LeRoy D. "Smokey" of Mantua, formerly of West Deptford, on April 8, 2005. Aged 72 years. LeRoy was a veteran of the Army 11th Airborne Division, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an outside machinist with the New York Ship Yard in Philadelphia, PA, for 14 years. From 1990 to 1994, LeRoy managed the Pioneer Tool & Die Sheet Metal Shop in Maple Shade. "Smokey" was a singer and guitar player for the country and western band, The Travelers, who frequently played at the Lakeview Inn and had also recorded a record. In his spare time, LeRoy enjoyed fishing and building model airplanes and wan an avid sports fan. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his patriotic spirit. Beloved husband of the late Dolores Nee Schade. Devoted father of Virginia Schilling of West Deptford, Donald Clark of Mantua, and Debra Sesko of Woodbury Heights. Loving grandfather of 6- Matt, Dave, Joey, Greg, Brian and Miranda. Viewing Wednesday 6:30 to 9 P.M. and Thursday after 9 A.M. in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St. Woodbury.
