Obituary of Faye Ross

Faye Violet Ross, 79, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at her residence in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born in Merchantville County of Camden, New Jersey on September 24, 1925 the daughter of Mark and Viola Williamson Johnson. Ms. Ross had lived in New Jersey and Ohio prior to relocating to Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1986, and most recently was employed at Hecht?s until her retirement in 1996. She was known for being a distinguished seamstress and quilter. She was a member of Foundry United Methodist Church of Virginia Beach. She had previously been President of American Business Women?s Association in Piqua, Ohio and recording secretary for the AF of L-CIO for Copeland?s in Sidney, Ohio. Surviving are her four daughters, Susanne R. Corwin husband-Elmer Beke of Pittsford, New York; Rhonda L. Huelskamp husband-Jim of Anna, Ohio; Darcel L. Stephan husband-Brooks of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Tonja K. Ross husband-Donald Lemmon of Yorktown, Indiana; Five grandchildren, Troy D. Cromes, Rachel S. Vonderhuevel, Olivia C. Hartzell, Kory R. and Weston K. Bryant; two great grandchildren Drew A. and Dylan J. Vonderhuevel. She is also survived by one brother in law, one niece, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lucille M. Simpkins and Alice J. Johnson, both from the Woodbury, New Jersey area. Services will be conducted through McGuinness Funeral Home in Woodbury, New Jersey. A private family viewing will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2005 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with services the following day at Kimble United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with Dr. Robert Ralph officiating.
