McANDREWS, Florence R. ?Flossie? Nee Kane of Deptford, formerly of Westville, on April 23, 2005. Aged 96 years. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA, Flossie spent over 30 years performing in the corner tap rooms and clubs of South Philadelphia and Delaware County. She spent over 70 years traveling the country as an entertainer. Flossie was a self taught pianist, singer and dancer, who performed at local clubs in New Jersey, such as the Krazy Kat in Almonesson, Edwards Carriage House in Clayton, the Water Wheel in Woodbury Heights, and Foleys and the Dutch Maid Inn in Lindenwold. Flossie was also the ?Primadonna? of Hamid & Morton Shriners Circus, where she rode in on an elephant. She was a member of VFW Post #7679 Ladies Auxiliary in Mantua, NJ for many years. Her greatest enjoyment in life was entertaining and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as feisty, self -confident, strong willed and lovable. Her family will treasure the memories of how she loved life and wanted to be forever young. Her motto in life was to ?Live It Up?. Beloved wife of the late William Devoted mother of Jean Silverman and Florence Sedalis. Loving grandmother of 6, great -grandmother of 10 and great-great-grandmother of 6.
