Obituary of Elisa Contarino

CONTARINO, Elisa Nee Patané of Wenonah on May 21, 2005. Age 82 years. Born in Mascali, Sicily, Elisa married Leonardo in 1949 and came to the U.S. as a young bride. She lived in Wenonah for the past 50 years and was a parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Mantua and a member of the Washington Twp. Senior Citizens Club. Elisa enjoyed singing and gardening, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. Her family will greatly miss her beautiful blue eyes and radiant smile. Elisa will be remembered as a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Beloved wife of the late Leonardo Contarino. Devoted mother of Mario Barbara Contarino of Woodstown, Elisa John LaPalomento of Turnersville and Edward Contarino of Wenonah. Loving grandmother of Johnny, Matthew, Laura, Mark, BethAnne and Christina. Dear sister of Orazio Patané of Rome. Also survived by Leonardo?s children: Mary, Helen, Salvatore, Raymond, Robert, Richard, John and the late Jean, Vincent and Leonard and 26 grandchildren.
