Obituary of Kathleen Marie DiCarlo

DiCarlo, Kathleen M. nee Falkenstein resident of W. Deptford for over 40 years suddenly on July 27, age. 70. Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frank Falkenstein, Sr. and Kathleen M. Perkins. She was a 1952 graduate of Woodbury High School. She received her R.N. from Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School before serving in the United States Airforce. She was a devoted nurse for over 46 years and a caretaker to those in need. After being honorably discharged from the Airforce as a 1st Lieutenant, she continued her nursing career at Underwood Memorial Hospital primarily as an ER nurse. She later became an Occupational Health nurse at Columbia Records Pitman and Johnson Matthey W. Deptford before returning to Sony Records Pitman. She retired in October of 2003. She was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan with a particular fondness for the Eagles. She loved taking care of her animals, reading, cooking and gardening. Kathleen will always be remembered for the laughter she brought with her quick wit. She never missed an opportunity to make light of a situation, including her own. She always cherished her Irish heritage and stayed true to her beliefs. Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. ?Grammy? most treasured the times she spent together with her family. She was always a loving and giving Mother and Grandmother. Her dedication to her family was amazing and will continue to be an inspiration to those she left behind. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by her family and friends for her unconditional love and continuous support. Devoted Mother to John D. DiCarlo Denice of W. Deptford and Regina DiCarlo Krause of Toms River. Loving grandmother to John J. and Anthony DiCarlo and David and Matthew Krause. Predeceased by her infant granddaughter Danielle Krause. She is also survived by her brothers Frank of Forrest Creek, W. Deptford and Michael Angel of Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Viewing Sunday evening 6:30 to 9 PM and Monday at 8:00 ?9:30 a.m. in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury Funeral Mass Monday 10 A. M. in St. Patrick?s R. C. Church, Cooper Street, Woodbury. Interment Wenonah Cemetery, Mantua.
