Obituary of Daniel J. Quimby

Quimby, Daniel J, PhD, born in Philadelphia, PA on June 10, 1940. Returned home to the Lord on October 13, 2005. Daniel formerly of Deptford, Mt. Holly and Philadelphia passed on October 13, 2005 at the age of 65. Dan was a retired research chemist Rohn and Haaas and Quaker Chemical Company. He was a former Professor of Chemistry at Drexel University where he received his Bachelor, Masters and Doctor of Chemistry degrees. Recently, due to health reasons, Dan resided at Cooper River West Nursing Home. He was very active as a recreational volunteer and assistant to residents less fortunate than he. He will be greatly missed equally by residents and staff members. He is the proud father of three sons, Daniel of New York, David of Philadelphia and Christian of Pittsburg, PA. He is the grandfather of one grandson, Declan. He is the son of Mary Quimby and the late Frank Quimby. He is survived by 3 brothers, Frank, Stephen and Joseph and 2 sisters, Mary and Terri. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Viewing Thursday at McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ from 12 PM to 1:00PM. Funeral Service Thursday 1 PM in the McGuinness Funeral Homeooper Street, Woodbury. Interment New Saint Mary?s, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers Mass cards.
