Obituary of Edward J. Dowe

DOWE, Edward J. of Sewell on October 25, 2005. Aged 78 years. Edward was born and raised in Boston, MA. He attended Boston Latin Prep School and earned his BS Degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT. Later in his career, he earned his MBA from Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Ed was a registered Professional Engineer and spent most of his career with the FAA, retiring from the Tech. Center in Pomona. He was instrumental in developing many of the airports around this country into the international hubs they are today, as well as authoring many publications. He was a member of NARFE, AARP, and the Knights of Columbus. Ed loved gardening, transforming the barren sands of his home of 40 years in Brigantine into a lush, green oasis. He also loved working on his cars, reading, & all God?s creatures. Ed also enjoyed a good meal, especially dessert, & it didn?t matter if it was from a fancy restaurant or McDonald?s. He predeceased his devoted wife of 47 years Dolores nee Skudlark. He is survived by his loving daughters Claudia Frank Angle & Kathy. Dear grandfather of Amy and Hannah.
