Obituary of Shirley Temple Green

On Tuesday afternoon November 15, 2005, God called his beloved daughter, Shirley Temple Evans Green, home to be with him. Shirley was born in Halifax Virginia on February 25, 1936 to the late Mattie and Claude Evans. Shirley married Henry Green, Jr. of Woodbury New Jersey, and they later divorced. Shirley retired from Lakeland Psychiatric Hospital after twenty-five years of service. In addition, she retired from the ARC in Woodbury after fifteen years. She was a dedicated worker! Shirley lived in Williamstown, New Jersey for the past twenty years. She loved cooking crabs, reading the ?Courier Post?, and working on cross-word puzzles. During the summers she always looked forward to taking her grand children to ?Storybook Land?. She leaves to cherish three daughters, June Cooper, JoAnn Badger, Patricia Hawkins; two sons, Michael Johnson, deceased, Brian Ford; two sons in-law, James Cooper, Kelvin Badger; one sister, Loretta Dale Evans; five grandchildren, Nicole Shanks, her husband Ben Shanks, Brittney Shenelle Green Hutchins, Erin Green Maguire, Kaila Green Maguire, Briana Grace Green Cooper; two great grandchildren, Jasmine Shanks, Nathan Shanks; one niece, Brittany Nicole Evans Cunningham; one nephew Eric Andre Evans; one aunt, Ovid Evans-Lewis; great aunt, Adrein Pounds, and a host of family and friends.
