Obituary of Edgar William Hess

Hess, Edgar William of Westville, NJ on January 5, 2006. Aged 83 years. Ed graduated in 1940 from Catasauqua High School, PA. He received his BA at Lehigh University and his MA at Glassboro State. During WWII, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army , where he received several metals. He served with the 283 rd Combat Engineers and the T5 Administration section. Ed worked for the Woodbury Times as a advertising salesman and later he was employed with Gloucester County Probation Office, where he was a probation officer. During his free time, he was a Little League Coach and a Babe Ruth Coach. Ed was an active member of the Kemble Methodist Church. Beloved husband of June nee Scheidhauer for 58 years. Devoted father of Edgar Hess and his wife Nancy. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Russell and Victoria Hess. Dear brother of Lawrence Hess and his wife Sue Anne. Funeral Service Wednesday 11 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ where relatives and friends may call after 10AM.
