Obituary of Jeanmarie T. Krawice

Krawice, Jeanmarie T. nee Fleck, age 68, of Westville, NJ, departed this life on January 13, 2006, after a brief but courageous battle with Mesothelioma. Jeanmarie was the devoted mother of three sons, John, William, and Christopher Krawice wife, Patricia. She was the very proud grandmother of Courtney Marie and Andrew Christopher Krawice. Jeanmarie is also survived by her sister, Catherine Colby, and sister-in-laws Mary Krawice, Helen Demiduke, and Mildred Hall, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, John Krawice, her brother Henry Fleck, and her sister-in-laws, Anne and Martha Krawice, and brother-in-laws Harry and Steve Krawice . The endearing, blue-eyed Jeanmarie was born June 28, 1937, in Delaware County Pa. Following her graduation from West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia, Jeanmarie attended the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. Throughout her lifetime, Jeanmarie used her talents and love of art and gardening to brighten the life of her family, many friends, and neighbors. Jeanmarie was formerly employed as an arts and crafts director at Camden County Heath Services at Lakeland. She worked many years as an Administrative Supervisor for the ARC of Gloucester County until her retirement in 2002. During her distinguished career, Jeanmarie received numerous awards, including the prestigious Robert H. Weir Award for outstanding professional excellence in support of individuals with developmental disabilities, the Marjorie F. Hall Award, and the Martin Papish Award for unselfish devotion and superior service to people with mental retardation. Jeanmarie also formerly served as secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Woodbine Developmental Center in Woodbine, NJ. Jeanmarie will be remembered for her keen sense of humor, sincere warmth, and strong faith. She was loved and cherished by all. Viewing Tuesday evening 6 to 9 PM and Wednesday 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick?s Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will be at Wenonah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodbine Developmental Center, 1175 DeHirsh Avenue, Woodbine, NJ 08270, in memory of Jeanmarie T. Krawice.
