Obituary of Joan M. McCaffrey

McCaffrey, Joan M. Nee Matthews , 71, of Woodbury Died January 31, 2006 ,?A most generous spirit?. Joan was born in Philadelphia to Martha and Harry Matthews. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in l952. Joan enjoyed her 30 years in Real Estate as a very accomplished realtor with Art Duffield Realty of Woodbury. As an active member and officer of the second auxiliary of Underwood Memorial Hospital; Joan enjoyed decorating the hospital during the year but especially Christmas. Her magnanimous spirit carried from community activities to gardening, parades and her love for her church and her country but nothing surpassed her abiding love and devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren. Joan is the beloved wife of Eugene J. McCaffrey, Sr., Devoted mother of Michele McCaffrey, The Honorable Eugene J. McCaffrey, Jr, and his wife Kathie, Kelly Anne Law and her husband, Christopher , Loving grandmother of Brenna, Adam, Kaitlin, Patrick, Dara and Eugene J. McCaffrey III Trip; Dearest sister of Maryann Votta, Catherine Markel and Patricia Barlow Viewing Friday 4 to 8 PM and Saturday 9:45 to 10:15 AM in St. Patrick R. C. Church 64 Cooper Street Woodbury.
