Obituary of Mary Lucille Williams

Williams, Mary Lucille nee Smith age 64 of Huntsville, Al died Monday, Feb 27, 2006 after a lengthy battle with cancer . She died on the 9th Anniversary of her mother?s death. Mary Lu was born in Woodbury, she was a graduate of Woodbury High School class of 1959, Chestnut Hill College and Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She was retired from the Dept of the Army Corps of Engineers as the Chief of Contracts. Among her many interests she was an avid reader, traveled extensively and spent time at their second home in St. Michael?s, MD. She was also a volunteer at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens and completed the course to become an Alabama Master Gardener. She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Charles E. Williams, son Christopher C. Williams and his wife, Laura and 4 month old Grand daughter, Olivia Claire of San Francisco, CA. Also survived by her brothers, Donald A. Smith, Jr. and wife Mary Jane of West Deptford, David A. Smith and wife Susan of Haddonfield, her mother-in-law Hazel Williams, brother in law Dick Williams and sister-in-law Diane Rogers, all of California as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the family Saturday after10 AM in St. Patrick?s R C Church, 64 Cooper St, Woodbury. Funeral Mass 11AM.
